Pixies reunion tour stops at the Mullins Center

BLACK IS BACK: IN A homecoming of sorts the Pixies reunion tour stopped at the Mullins Center on November 30. The band’s founders Charles Thompson and Joey Santiago were students and roommates at UMass Amherst when they left school to play the burgeoning alt rock scene in Boston in 1986. Thompson changed his name to Black Francis and the duo recruited Kim Deal and Dave Lovering to form the Pixies, which became an influential force in the rise of alternative and grunge music until the band split in 1992. The Mullins Center show attracted a diverse audience, from current college students too young to remember the Pixies in their heyday to 40-somethings reliving a little of their youth. Ironically, it was the Pixies’ first appearance on campus.
There doesn't appear to be an official Pixies site out there but there are plenty of fan sites. Here's one of them:
